A Fan at Progressive Field Complains About Not Getting a “Wave” Going – the Indians Twitter Fires Back

It’s been a debate that’s been ongoing for quite awhile at sporting events – more so at baseball games.

Should the “Wave” be allowed, the annoying 1980’s trend when fans stood up at the same time to create a ‘wave type’ effect for (at the time) a cool visual, be allowed?

Some fans seem to make it their passion no matter the score or situation to start the wave at a game – working hard to get other fans around then to join in.

Let’s be honest – it’s a trend that should have been put to rest years ago.

The Indians official twitter account Sunday weighed in on the topic after a ‘fan’ complained they were not able to start the wave at Sunday’s game at Progressive Field.

Their response was right on the mark.

In other words – case closed – stop doing the wave.
