5 Suggestions for Tribe Fans at Progressive Field in 2017

2. Last season was magical. Don’t compare this year’s team to 2016. This is a new chapter.

There were so many awesome storylines in 2016.

Juan Uribe helping Jose Ramirez grow into a mature Major Leaguer – on and off the field.

Rajai Davis leading the American League in stolen bases, with a solid 10-year gap between him and the rest of the pack.

Mike Napoli. Do we really need any further explanation?

Tyler Naquin’s emergence after a breakout Spring Training… The Inside-The-Park Walk Off.

The 14-game win-streak.

Let’s be clear once and for all. Those types of storylines are gone.

Ramirez is no longer the unproven Cinderella story. He’s not sneaking up on anybody.

The Parties at Napoli’s are over. The Tribe upgraded to one of the best power hitters in the game and fans will get used to his parrot as the season goes on.

Naquin is no longer just a feel good story about a fan favorite rookie. If he doesn’t produce, his job is certainly up for grabs in a crowded outfield.

And let’s remind everyone that last year’s 14-game win-streak is the longest in franchise history. The previous record streak occurred in 1951 – 65 years prior.

Don’t take this the wrong way, but we may never see an Indians’ win-streak as impressive as what we saw in June of 2016. And that’s OK.

2016 was an amazing year. Enjoy this one for what it is.

Brantley’s back! Carrasco is taking the mound on Opening Day!

If that’s not enough to get you excited for Indians baseball, something’s wrong with you.
