3. Iman Shumpert, Jordan McRae, and DeAndre Liggins for Ricky Rubio
If the Cavs were to make this move, the Timberwolves would have to waive two players. Perhaps they don’t even have a need for McRae and Liggins. What we do know is the T-Wolves value Shumpert and don’t appear to have Rubio in their long-term plans. This move would also mean the Cavs would have two open roster spots to fill, which they could address via free-agency. At the end of the day… aren’t McRae and Liggins essentially “open roster spots” come postseason anyway?

I think they should make the trade with New York then look for a center that on a wavier
