Davenport On Hot Streak, NASCAR Playoffs To Start; Motorsports News And Notes

Davenport Takes World 100 At Eldora

Jonathan Davenport would have probably rolled his eyes had you told him earlier in the summer that he would capture the 47th Annual World 100. After struggles through the first half of 2017 Davenport has captured two huge wins over the last week. The Georgia native won the Hillbilly 100 on September 4th and then led all 100-laps Saturday winning the World 100 for the second time in three years. Saturday’s win buttoned up a great weekend for Davenport at the Rossburg, Ohio dirt oval. Davenport was the weekends overall fast qualifier and finished second in Thursday’s Twin 25 feature.
