Wiz Khalifa to Perform Live Outdoor Concert Before Cavaliers’ Opening Night

Turner Sports announced Tuesday that their “NBA on TNT” crew, featuring Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Shaquille O’Neal and Ernie Johnson, will be hitting the road for live outdoor pre-game shows throughout the 2016-17 NBA season.

The first example of the new “NBA on TNT Road Show”  will be on Oct. 25, when the Cavs open up the season, receive their championship rings, and raise the banner.

Along with the outdoor pre-game show, there will be food, drink, and video screens set up in an area outside of Quicken Loans Arena to watch the ring ceremony and the game.

The festivities will take place across from the arena, between Prospect Avenue and Huron Road.

Admission is free and open to the public, beginning at 3 pm.

One of the highlights of the pre-game festivities will be a live concert from rapper Wiz Khalifa.

To make the festivities even more hectic, it will be the same night as Game 1 of the World Series.

Here are some of the details, per Turner Sports:

TNT Personality Themed Activities
Guests can enjoy experiences inspired by the Inside the NBA studio team. Fans can learn from professional deejays at “DJ Diesel Academy,” race to “Kenny the Jet’s Big Board,” pick up their own Ernie-inspired NBA on TNT foam bowties, and sample a treat at “Chuck’s Donut Truck.”

On-Court Hoops Experience
Located at the heart of the activation, NBA fans can show off their hoop skills on the Road Show Court. Planned activities throughout the afternoon include on-court contests beginning at 3:15 p.m., along with a Jr. NBA Clinic starting at 7 p.m.

“Singer Slam” Studio
If passing, shooting and dribbling isn’t your thing, but singing is your game, a lip sync studio modeled after the Insideteam’s own lip sync performances – “NBA on TNT Singer Slam” – will be set up adjacent to the basketball court.

NBA on TNT Premium Merchandise
For the first time ever, NBA on TNT premium merchandise will be available for sale at the “Road Show” Store, including hats and hoodies. Fans that want to “Put that on a t-shirt” – just like Shaq and “Underdog” – can visit a special custom t-shirt design area with complimentary merchandise.

Inside the NBA Themed Food
An NBA on TNT themed food truck will feature some of the Inside foursome’s favorite fare including Shaq’s BBQ Chicken, Ernie’s Cheese Grits, Kenny’s “Queens Dogs” and tater tots with yum-yum sauce.  Chuck’s Donut Truck offering “Mini Chucks” donut holes, “Sir Charles Parfaits,” the “Double-Double” Ice Cream Sundae and “Chuck’s Main Squeeze” lemonade will also be on site.

Local Cleveland Personalities to Appear
The “Road Show” will also offer a local touch with appearances by Quickens Loans Arena game night host Ahmaad Crump, the Cavs’ Scream Team hip-hop troupe, the QStix drumline and more.

Massive LED Screens for Viewing of Cavs’ Ring Ceremony & Game Telecast
Fans will be able to watch the Cleveland Cavaliers’ Ring Ceremony, as well as TNT’s live game telecast throughout the evening from massive LED screens set up within the event’s footprint.

Whatever your plans are in Downtown Cleveland that night, assuming the Indians advance to the World Series, make sure you get there early.
