Week 3 Northeast Ohio Sports Insiders High School Football Coverage – Find Out Where Our Reporters Will Be

It’s a beautiful Friday of week three of high school football here in Northeast Ohio.

And on this Friday night of week three our NEOSI High School football team will be out covering Northeast Ohio High School Football. 

In addition, we also have extended high school football coverage for you from Columbus, Ohio where our writer and reporter, John Suchan, will provide coverage of OSU quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair.

Our high school sports editor Jayson Richardson will be covering the Avon vs. Glenville game at Avon.  

Currently, Avon is ranked number one in Region Six while Glenville is ranked number one in Region 14. 

Avon has Michigan Commit Luke Hamilton on the line helping to open up holes for University of Cincinnati commit Jakorion Caffey.

Glenville is 2-0 on the season and are led by Ohio State commits Bryce West and Damarion Witten and running back D’Shawntae Jones.

John Suchan will be covering the Licking Heights vs. Bellefontaine game in Columbus, Ohio.

Bellefontaine is led by junior Ohio State quarterback commit Tavien St. Clair who has thrown for an amazing 8 touchdowns in two games.  

Leading Bellefontaine in receiving is Riley Neer who is averaging 171 yards in receiving for the first two games. So far this year, Neer has caught 4 touchdown passes.  

Licking Heights comes into the game at 1-1 and is led by junior running back Jake Lopinto and quarterback Michael Landry.

James Ellifritz will be covering the Northwest vs. Louisville game.

Louisville is 1-1 as they defeated Zainesvile 22-0 during week 2. Northwest will be looking for their first victory of the year.

I will be covering Hawken vs. Gilmour. Both teams come into the matchup at 2-0. Gilmour is currently ranked number six in Region Nine, while Hawken is currently eighth in Region Nine. Hawken is led by running backs Jordan Johnson and Luke Mangini. Johnson is averaging 140 yards per game rushing. Mangini is leading the team with five touchdowns so far this season. Gilmour is led by dual-threat quarterback Jake Kavcic.

On the season, Kavcic has seven touchdown passes, and also ran for four touchdowns.  Also, Kavcic has a QB Rating this season of 137.

On Saturday, I will be at Geneva Ohio’s world class facilities at the Spire Institute to cover the Beachwood vs. St. John’s game.  Both teams are looking for their first victory of the season.
