UFC 205: Moon Picks Liz Carmouche vs. Katlyn Chookagian

UFC 205 is this week, so that means it’s time for some predictions. Throughout the day, I’ll have predictions for every fight on the card.

First up, it’s Liz Carmouche vs Katlyn Chookagian.

A fight which will have a veteran of the UFC in Carmouche as well as a fairly new member of the UFC roster in Chookagian. Chookagian came to the UFC earlier this year when she fought in July against Lauren Murphy, a fight in which she won by unamnimous decision. A very good fighter who is currently a Cage Fury Fighting Champion in the Bantamweight and Flyweight divisions, Chookagian is a joy to watch. She likes to stand on her feet and exchange, though she can defend the takedown very efficiently. Chookagian is yet to suffer a loss in her MMA career, as she is 8-0 in the octagon.

Across the cage from her is Liz Carmouche, who has faced the best of the best. The only problem is she has struggled when facing the top talent. Losses from Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate loom over her, the Rousey loss being in a championship fight. One thing you can say about Carmouche: She is one tough cookie. She has only been finished twice in her career and is very good at going the distance to get a hard-fought win.

At the end of the day, I think Katlyn Chookagian gets the unanimous decision win over Liz Carmouche.
