Scouting Report: Steelers Come to Cleveland Following a Week Filled with Drama

The Pittsburgh will travel up I-80 to take on the Cleveland Browns Sunday with a 1pm kickoff. The Steelers are coming off a disappointing Divisional round loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. This past week has been very drama-filled for the Steelers, with the situation surrounding running back Le’Veon Bell.

Many of his teammates have publicly voiced their opinions, not too many with a positive tone. Head coach Mike Tomlin had this to say on the situation “We’re preparing to play football with those who have been here and working. Nothing has changed from my perspectives or our perspective, based on what he transpired in the last couple days. Zero.”

Here are three things to know about the Pittsburgh Steelers:

1.  Replacing Todd Haley with Randy Fichtner: This is Fichtner’s first year as offensive coordinator. He is replacing Todd Haley, who took the OC job with the Browns. Fichtner is entering his 12th season with the Steelers. The previous eight years, he has been the quarterback’s coach for the Steelers.

2. Antonio Brown: MVP caliber, cover of Madden 19, superstar, and the game’s best wide receiver. Brown’s presence on the field is felt by everyone in the league. In 14 games last season, Brown tallied nine touchdowns with 1533 yards. He had a total of 101 receptions last season.

3.  Big Ben: Ben Roethlisberger will be facing the Browns for the 25th time in his career. Ben is 22-2 in his career verse the Browns. He is 11-2 when playing in Cleveland. Here is an even more insane record. Big Ben has more wins in Cleveland than any Browns quarterback since the team returned to the NFL in 1999.
