Who Would Play Who in the High School Football Playoffs If the Posteason Started Today

It goes without saying this is a HUGE week in high school football in Northeast Ohio, as with week nine upcoming it’s down to two weeks for teams to try and either move into a playoff spot, hang onto a playoff spot, or for some – lose a playoff spot.

With Tuesday’s release of the OHSAA football computer ratings, you can take a look at as of today, who is going to play who when it comes to the first week of the postseason.

Here’s a run down of how some of the local teams in Northeast Ohio will line up should the postseason start today, as this is off the top eight teams from the current OHSAA ratings.

Division I – Region 1

#1 Cle. St. Ignatius (7-1) vs #8 Massillon Perry (7-1)
#2 Lakewood St. Edward (8-0) vs #7 Massillon Jackson (6-2)
#3 Mentor (7-1) vs #6 Stow-Munroe Falls (7-1)
#4 Canton McKinley (8-0) vs #5 Euclid (7-1)

Outside looking in: 9. Solon (5-3) 11. Strongsville (4-4) 12. Rhodes (6-2)
