Kyrie Irving Will Rest in Cavaliers Preseason Opener

Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving will not play in the preseason opener against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

The point guard will receive the night off to rest and is fully healthy.

It will be a good opportunity for the other point guards on the training camp roster to audition for the backup role, most notably Toney Douglas, Kay Felder, Markel Brown, and DeAndre Liggins.
