Detroit Pistons Head Coach Stan Van Gundy Fined $25K for Criticizing Officials

Detroit Pistons Head Coach Stan Van Gundy was fined $25,000 on Monday for comments he made regarding officials on Sunday.

Van Gundy made headlines on Sunday when he criticized NBA referees for letting LeBron James “get what he wants.”

The Pistons are heavy underdogs in the series against Cleveland and perhaps Van Gundy is trying to give his team an attitude like it’s “Us against the world.”

Point Guard Reggie Jackson was called for a technical foul in the 4th quarter of Game 1, so Detroit has been on the wrong side of the NBA’s legislators a couple times already this series.

We’ll see who is next in line to suffer the wrath of the NBA lawmakers. It may come sooner rather than later.
