Cavs Prevail Late In Sluggish Game Against Mavericks, 98-87; Three Takeaways From The Victory

3. Tough Road Ahead- The Cavaliers will now have to set their sights on the upcoming week, a span that sees them take on three playoff teams in Toronto, Washington, and Philadelphia. It isn’t an easy road and is sure to test the mettle of Cleveland’s roster. But Kevin Love feels that these three games can be a good test for the team.

“I think it’s a good challenge for us,” Lov said after the game. “I think minus Philly, who’s playing extremely well right now is missing (Joel) Embiid, everybody’s pretty much full strength and we’ll go out and play extremely hard, whether it’s here in the next two games or in Philly back-to-back. So it’s gonna be a good test for us, these next few.

Love is not wrong by about it being a challenge. Toronto currently holds the top-seed in the Eastern Conference while Washington and Philadelphia are within the four-through-six range in the conference. As playoff seeding still is being determined, Cleveland cannot afford to rest on its laurels or they’ll find themselves in the fifth spot come playoff time.
