Cavs get first road win of the season, defeat the Sixers 121-112

Cleveland- Rejoice Cleveland fans, the Cavaliers got their first road win of the season Friday night. The Cavaliers traveled to Philadelphia for Thanksgiving, and left with a road victory. The Cavaliers 121-112 victory was their most impressive win of the season thus far. Most impressively the Cavs were able to get off to a good start on the road, something they have be struggling with previously.

The Cavaliers were paced by Rodney Hood with 25, while shooting 50% from the field. While Hood lead the team in scoring, it was an entire team effort Friday night. Particularly in the fourth quarter, the Cavs bench unit extended the Cavs one point lead while the starters were on the bench. The Cavaliers scored 37 points in the final quarter, behind a strong start from their bench. The backcourt of Andrew Harrison and Jordan Clarkson proved very effective.

Cavaliers forward Cedi Osman has back to back games scoring 20pts, the first time Osman has done that in his career. He was also able to grab eight rebounds, which a huge reason why the Cavaliers were plus 11 (42-31) in the rebounding department. It would be wrong to talk about rebounding without mentioning Tristan Thompson, who finished with a double-double (18pts 12rbds.)

The Cavaliers return home for a Saturday night date with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are fresh off a five game winning streak that was snapped tonight on the road in Detroit. The Rockets are of course lead by last seasons MVP James Harden who is averaging 29 points a game this season.
