Cavs fall to Nuggets 110-91, drop to (1-7) on the season

 Unlikely hero beat the Cavs

Coming into their match-up against the Nuggets, there was a list of guys that one would expect to cause the Cavaliers difficulties, unfortunately it wasn’t those guys who beat them Thursday night. The like of Nikola Jokic, Gary Harris, and Jamal Murray weren’t the issue for Cleveland, that honor goes to Paul Millsap and Juancho Hernangomez. Herangomez torched the Cavs for 23 points off the bench, shooting a very impressive 60% from the field. He was four just four points shy of his career high, which would have been very impressive for someone who didn’t even see the floor last night. The Cavaliers have such a small margin of error this season, that allowing a rotational player to beat you the way Hernangomez did Thursday is going to lose you a lot of ball games.

Herangomez may have shocked Cavs fans, but his teammates weren’t caught off guard at all. Mason Plumlee talked about how highly he’s viewed in  the locker room, “internally, we know he’s capable of that. We’re happy for him. It lifted us. It gave us a win. I can see him doing that a couple of times this yer. He’s a scorer. He attacks the basket. He’s more than just a shooter. He ahs the potential to go off certain nights.”
