Cavaliers Assign Kay Felder to Canton Charge

The Cavs announced an interesting roster move, which could lead to more moves at the backup point guard spot, sending rookie Kay Felder to Canton. Here’s the official press release from the Cavs.

CLEVELAND – The Cleveland Cavaliers have assigned guard Kay Felder to the Canton Charge, the Cavaliers exclusively owned and operated NBA Development League team, Cavaliers General Manager David Griffin announced today from Cleveland Clinic Courts.

Felder has appeared in 14 games for the Cavs this season, averaging 4.9 points in 10.4 minutes per game.

He will be available for tonight’s Charge game against the Greensboro Swarm in Canton at 7:00 p.m.

According to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com, it’s likely that Felder will be back up with the Cavs for Thursday’s game vs. the Boston Celtics.

Let the speculation begin.
