2. Kizer Cleans Up Performance Following Interception- DeShone Kizer didn’t have the greatest start to his Sunday. After a quick three-and-out to open up play, the rookie quarterback threw an errant pass right to Telvin Smith for an interception. The Smith interception set up the Bortles’ passing touchdown and gave Jacksonville a 7-0 lead in the first quarter of play. Kizer could’ve had a miserable day after a bad pass that cost his team. Instead, he rallied back and worked the Browns back into the contest. Though it wasn’t pretty on the stat sheet, Kizer finished 3-of-10 with 55 passing yards and a touchdown. The drive that helped Kizer and the Browns stay in the game saw the quarterback thread the needle to find Duke Johnson Jr. for the 27-yard touchdown. In snowy conditions, there will be a lot of running plays in the second half. That’s why it’s very important for Kizer to execute in the passing game when necessary.
