Berea-Midpark High School Boys Varsity Cross Country finishes 6th place at Southwestern Conference Championship Meet

Berea-Midpark’s boys and girls cross country teams opened up the postseason portion of their schedule with the Southwestern Conference Championship on Saturday at the Lorain County Community College cross country Course. The boys placed sixth with a team score of 140 points.

Ethan Bradt, a senior, was Berea-Midpark’s top finisher with a fifth place finish clocking in at 17:32.4, and Anthony Cocita Jr. followed with a 21st-place showing with a readout of 18:31.5.

Rounding out the scoring effort for the Titans were Ty Treiber, Eric Poole and Zach Hoessle. Treiber, a senior, crossed the finish line at 18:40.0 earning him a 30th-place showing. Poole, also a senior, finished in 19:07.3 to earn the 38th slot. Hoessle was just off Poole’s pace and finished with a time of 19:20.4 for 46th place.

Spencer Reardon, who was competing at his second Southwestern Confernece Championship, finished 58th with a time of 20:11.3. Eric Richards-Diaz placed 60th with a readout of 20:20.5.

UP NEXT
The boys cross country team will return next weekend to Lorain County Community College for the OHSAA District Tournament. The Division 1 boys meet will begin at 11:45 am.
