3. Interceptions
Bernie Kosar was known for taking care of the football, and in his first even games he did fairly well not turning the football over, but he did have his moments, throwing a total of five interceptions.
He threw one against the Oilers in the teams’ 21-6 win in his first start, and then had two games in which he threw two picks, one against the Redskins in a 14-7 loss, and another pair in a 27-10 loss at Cincinnati.
As for Mayfield, his first start didn’t start all that well, as he threw a pick six against the Raiders early in the game, and since then in total he has thrown seven interceptions.
In all but two of his starts he’s thrown at least one pick, and in losses to the Raiders and Chargers he threw a pair of picks in each of those games.
