5 College Football Games to Watch: Oct. 15

We know. If you’re a Cleveland sports fan, you’re going to watch Game 2 of the ALCS.

I will be, too.

However, if you’re looking for something to do when baseball is not on TV, or you just aren’t a baseball fan, here are five College Football games to watch on Oct. 15.

#20 West Virginia (5-0) @ Texas Tech (3-2) 12 pm Fox Sports 1

Quietly, West Virginia is putting themselves in position to win the Big 12. It’s unlikely, but if they run the table, they can’t be left out of the playoff conversation.

They have not really been tested yet, but playing on the road in Texas will be one of their tougher matches thus far in the season.

#10 Nebraska (5-0) @ Indiana (3-2) 3:30 pm ABC or ESPN 2

Indiana already beat Michigan State and gave Ohio State a good game last week in Columbus. The Cornhuskers are one of four top ten teams in the Big Ten and have to at least be in consideration for a playoff spot.

This game could prove that Indiana’s defense is right up there with the best in the nation and also could tell us whether or not Nebraska’s undefeated start is legitimate or just a sign of a very weak schedule.

#1 Alabama (6-0) @ #9 Tennessee (5-1) 3:30 pm CBS

Coming off of a double overtime loss on the road at Texas A&M, this game is in some ways do or die for Tennessee at home.

Bama is far and away the best team in the SEC, but Tennessee has as good a chance to beat them as anyone in the conference and playing at home certainly helps. If Tennessee wins this game, it could potentially set the two teams up for a rematch in the conference championship down the road.

If Alabama does what is expected, their perfect regular season looks even more clear than it already appears after six games.

#12 Ole Miss (3-2) @ # 22 Arkansas (4-2) 7 pm ESPN

To be frank, neither of these teams has a good shot at the playoff. But if you like good, competitive football, this game has the makings of a nailbiter.

Although Ole Miss has looked more impressive, playing on the road at Arkansas makes this match fairly even.

These two teams could be vying for second or third place in the SEC West and this game will go a long way in determining the standings.

#2 Ohio State (5-0) @ #8 Wisconsin (4-1) ABC

It goes without saying that this is a must-watch game. Our full game preview is forthcoming.

Just know that as soon as the Tribe game ends, flip the channel to ABC and sit back and watch a Big Ten battle between two elite defenses, the high-powered offense of Ohio State, and a hostile environment of Camp Randall Stadium.
