3 reasons Michigan will beat Ohio State

Sheffield Lake, Ohio-  The 133rd edition of “The Game” kicks off at high noon at the Horseshoe featuring the 2nd ranked Buckeyes of Ohio State and the 3rd ranked Michigan Wolverines. Although the Buckeyes are a favorite to win this game, do not overlook the visitors on Saturday, below are some reasons to suggest they could pull off the upset.

Experience

Michigan’s roster is loaded with seniors, 43 of them to be exact and other than the QB position, many of these players have experienced the atmosphere of the moment. Ohio State, although multi-talented, are very young and most players haven’t any snaps against the Maize and Blue.

Defense

Michigan’s defense leads the nation in six categories and leads the Big Ten in 8. Led by Mr Everything, Jabrill Peppers, the Wolverine defense is built for games like this.

Rivalry

The Buckeyes are a 7 point favorite but when these teams hook up throw all records out the window. Case in point 2013, Michigan came within a missed two point conversion of upsetting the 3rd ranked Buckeyes. Michigan will be ready, the Iowa loss could just help this team prepare for a hostile environment.

Final Thoughts

The teams are very evenly matched. Michigan’s defense should be able to keep this game close, can the offense and special teams score enough points? Saturday afternoon in Columbus, “The Game” is relevant again.

Tomorrow we’ll have 3 reasons the Buckeyes will beat Michigan.
