Three Takeaways From Hard Knocks Episode One

Browns fans should be very excited for Jarvis Landry

This may be stating the obvious, but after episode one it is a safe bet that Jarvis Landry can be considered the leader of this team already.  The film doesn’t lie and he has a serious work ethic and appears to practice relentlessly.  He was also responsible for the best part of the show when he gave a passionate and motivating speech to the wide receiver room about not taking plays off.  He leads by example.

This has never been more important then it is now when you factor in the players around him.  Josh Gordon is sitting in rehab again.  Antonio Callaway is trying to overcome his own checkered history and off to a terrible start, and Corey Coleman looked awful in camp before being traded late Sunday night.  Landry will need help around him, but it is clear the work ethic is there.

Landy also appears to be excited to be in Cleveland, as he, his girlfriend and son have already bought a home here in town.  He wants to be here, and he wants to produce.  He is a homebody, and that means if he is healthy, you count on his attitude being great and his body and mind staying in focus as well.
