Preview: Trevor Bauer Back in Chicago to Face the Sox as Indians Look for Fourth Straight Win

3. Cookie in Relief

Tonight after the Indians feel they have seen enough of Trevor Bauer, they will go to the pen and give the ball to Carlos Carrasco, who has thrown in relief already once this season, earning a win against the Yankees in the game the day before the All-Star break began.

The notion of giving the ball to ‘Cookie’ out of the pen is simply to keep him sharp and on his normal schedule, and it should work out just fine, as Carrasco knows what’s expected of him going in.

The last week of the season for a playoff team usually sees some odd pairings, but when you can put a pair of pitchers on the mound that each have over 200 strikeouts is a pretty impressive feat, one that should be fun on Tuesday night.
