Ohio BMV uses picture of LeBron in a Lakers jersey to try and prevent smiles

CLEVELAND– You aren’t supposed to smile in your driver’s license pictures, and one Ohio BMV is trying an interesting tactic to cut down on people showing their pearly whites.

Facebook user Roni Zemelman shared the following picture, showing the BMV camera with a picture of LeBron James in a Lakers jersey taped to it:

James, of course, announced he was leaving the Cavs on July 1 and heading to the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency after the last four years in Cleveland that included winning the 2016 NBA title.

Now, it’s probably more likely that this tactic will be counterproductive and inspire some laughs along the way. But one thing’s for sure– it’s a pretty solid social media strategy, if the BMV is even into social media strategy that is.
