Listen To AM 930 WEOL For 3 Playoff Week 1 High School Games Tonight – Links To Games HERE!

Tonight the postseason starts in high school football, with many local games around the area and our NEOSI reporters will be on hand to report on local games as well.

Our broadcast partner AM 930 WEOL will be live broadcasting three games – make sure to listen as teams fight to make it to the second round of the postseason next week!

Here’s the three games on the air and on-line tonight!

Game one takes you to the DI Region 2 bracket where the Lorain Titans host the Olentagy Braves. The Titans have not lost a game since week two of the season. Last week they captured their first conference championship since Admiral King had accomplished the task back in 2010.

Olentangy finished the regular season 7-3 with a 28-21 win over Westerville Central in the final week of the season. The mark was good enough for them to capture second place in the Ohio Capital Conference Buckeye Division. Pregame for the Titans and Braves begins at 7:00pm on Friday night.

Game Two this week takes us back to the SWC for Avon vs. Avon Lake in the DII Region 6 bracket. When the two teams met earlier this season, back in week two, the Eagles topped the Shoremen 31-7. The Shoremen will look for revenge Friday night when they cross the tracks into Eagle territory.

For the Shoremen to find success, quarterback Mark Pappas must be on his “A” game like he was in the final week of the season. In the Shoremen’s win over North Olmsted, the senior quarterback threw for 326 yards and three touchdown. The Eagles will focus on a strong run game that saw running back Mason McMcLemore push forward for 98 yards and a touchdown in their victory of Olmsted Falls last Friday. This Friday night’s grudge match begins at 7:00pm on weol.com stream 2.

We stay put in the SWC and the DII Region 6 bracket for our Game 3. Our final match-up of the night features yet another great rivalry between conference foes when Olmsted Falls travels to Midview. The two teams last met back in week seven. Despite an impressive performance by the Bulldogs defense, it was Midview who claimed the victory 28-21.

Once again the Bulldogs defense will be tested by Midview quarterback Dustin Crum who has averaged over 200 passing and rushing yards a game this season. Olmsted Falls will give the ball to their bruising full-back Spencer Linville who has equally impressive number on the ground. Pregame begins at 7:00pm Friday night.
