LeBron James out for Friday’s preseason game against Indiana

INDEPENDENCE, OHIO– LeBron James will not play in the Cavaliers’ second preseason game against the Indiana Pacers on Friday at Quicken Loans arena.

The team gave an update on James’ status during their morning shootaround at Cleveland Clinic Courts.

James missed Wednesday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks as well. He injured his ankle during the Cavs’ first week of training camp, but has returned to full go at practices. The likelihood here is that the team simply wants to get him some extra rest.

The game will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
