Indians Place Outfielder Tyler Naquin On 10-Day Disabled List; Activate Reliever Tyler Olson From Paternity List

The Cleveland Indians have placed Outfielder Tyler Naquin on the 10-day disabled list, the team announced Saturday afternoon. The team also activated reliever Tyler Olson from the paternity list in the weekend roster move.

Naquin has had a very good start to the 2018 campaign, batting .333 in 30 games with eleven runs batted in. He’s bounced back incredibly well from a tough sophomore season that saw him fall out of favor in the outfield to find himself back in the fold.

The 27-year old left Friday’s game against the Kansas City Royals with left hamstring tightness and is just the latest Indians outfielder to hit the disabled list. Bradley Zimmer’s crash into the outfield wall put him out of action just a week ago.

Olson’s return from the paternity list was rather quick, considering he was just placed on it Friday. The left-handed reliever will hopefully add some sort of stability in the bullpen after Andrew Miller was activated off the DL on Friday.

So far this season, Olson hasn’t been his stellar self. He’s appeared in fifteen games and has a 6.75 ERA.
