Cavaliers assign Ante Zizic to Canton Charge after calling up John Holland

CLEVELAND– Ante Zizic has been assigned to the Canton Charge, according to a release from the Cavaliers.

The assignment comes after the team brought up two-way player John Holland from Canton, per ESPN.

Zizic, who the Cavaliers acquired from the Boston Celtics in the Kyrie Irving trade, will be available for Monday’s Charge game in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In five games for the Cavaliers this season, Zizic is averaging 1.4 points in 4.3 minutes.

As Holland is under a two-way contract, he is eligible to spend up to 45 days with the Cavaliers. For the Charge, he is averaging 24 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists in four games, including one 43-point outburst. He is currently shooting 43.8 percent from the field and 42.5 percent from deep.

His call-up is not surprising considering the fact the Cavs are down three point guards, and he will be available for tomorrow night’s game against the Detroit Pistons.
