BGSU football falls to Buffalo, 38-28; three takeaways

2. Back on the right track

Coming into the season there seemed as though the Falcons found some success and were going to continue that into this season. However, the team has struggled for most of the season. The past two weeks though the Falcons have battled and been competitive.

Early on in the season it seemed as though the Falcons would start off strong and then as the second half would start, they couldn’t get out of their own way. The past two weeks though, the Falcons have been limiting their mistakes.

This past week in Buffalo, they were within striking distance, as they were down three points in the fourth quarter before Buffalo scored a touchdown with eight minutes left that sealed the door. Once again head coach Mike Jinks is showing that he is learning more about his team later in the season and is trying to erase that early season stigma that he wasn’t fit for the job. The Falcons have improved from their early season struggles and might haven even found their quarterback for the next four years.
