10 Players to Watch in Ohio State-Michigan Showdown

#6. Malik Hooker S

Hooker is right up there with the best safeties in the nation and rounds out the Buckeyes’ secondary, which is second-to-none as a group.

Another projected first-round pick, the redshirt sophomore has made big plays all throughout the season and Saturday afternoon should not be an exception.

Hooker leads the team with five interceptions this season (two of which he ran back for touchdowns) and he has a chance to take advantage of Michigan’s backup QB in the biggest game of his career.

Assuming that Conley and Lattimore continue their excellent coverage, it could be a great opportunity for Hooker to slide in and rob another pass or two and make the Wolverines pay.

Michigan has one of the best defenses in the country, but Ohio State could turn this game on its ear with a defensive score from one of its playmakers.

If anyone is capable of making that happen, Hooker would be the first candidate.

Keeping that in mind, it’s our next player on the list who could have a “make-or-break” impact in this game for Michigan.
