Report: Cavaliers and Guard J.R. Smith Agree to Four-Year Deal

The last piece of the Cavaliers puzzle to make another title run appears to be in place, as Marc Stein of ESPN reports the team and 31-year-old guard J.R. Smith have come to terms on a four-year deal worth $57 million.

Smith played in 77 games last season putting up 12.4 points per game, and in the postseason played in 21 games, averaging 11.5 points per game.

He’s the last big name Cavs free agent to ink a deal, and despite a report earlier in the day that he was going to start looking elsewhere for work, it looks like he and the Cavs are set as the team is less than two weeks away from the opener on October 25th.

UPDATE: 9:04pm – Smith has released a video declaring that it’s a done deal and he’s back with the Cavs.
