Brooklyn, OH—Riley Vertosnik and senior brothers Shane and Justin Malinak led the North Olmsted Eagles to a 4 to 1 win over the Kenston Bombers in the Baron Cup 1 Quarterfinal at the John M. Coyne Rec Center in Brooklyn on Thursday night.

Riley Vertosnik led the Eagles attack with a hat trick to put the game out of reach. Shane Malinak started the night with a goal assisted by his brother Justin Malinak.

The Eagles who came into the game with only ten players dressed out-worked a Bombers team that qualified for the Baron Cup over Mentor during Super Bowl Sunday.

North Olmsted (8-1-1) will face Cleveland Heights (6-4-0) this Saturday night at 7:30pm in the Baron Cup 1 Semifinal. You can hear all the play by play on our partner site AllSportsCleveland.com and on the TuneIn app at BeOnAir.com-All Sports Cleveland. Kenston (3-6-1) will play again in the OHSAA State Tournament at Kent State against Nordonia (6-6-0) Saturday February 18 at 1pm.
