PREVIEW: Cavs, Wade meet again in Tuesday night clash

James, Wade meet again

It has been nearly two months since Dwyane Wade last saw the Cavaliers, the team that signed him to a one-year, $2.3 million deal this past offseason. The decision to swap him for a heavily protected 2024 second-round draft pick has opened the door to rotational opportunities for Rodney Hood and Jordan Clarkson off the bench.

LeBron James and Wade landed first and fifth overall respectively in the 2003 NBA Draft, hoping to make a splash in the spotlight. Since then, they have won six combined NBA championships, including their titles together with Miami in 2011-12 and 2012-13. The 15-year friendship between the two is one of the most notable bonds in the game.

Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony have also been longtime friends within the group, all of whom are bound for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame further down the road.
