Earlier this month we announced that Otto Orf and the Ohio North Futsal Association became partners with NEO Sports Insiders. Tonight, that partnership continued as NEOSI was on the scene as Legendary Goal Keeping Icon Otto Orf continued to give back to the community and further promote the great sport of Futsal.
Otto Orf was on hand at the hottest fitness club in town, the Cleveland Fitness Club at 6600 W. 130th St. Middleburg Hts. OH 44130. This club has grown leaps and bounds over the last 3 plus years since coming under the ownership of the visionary that is Angela M DiFiore.
Futsal continues not only to grow in this area of the country but also worldwide. As indoor soccer continues to decline in popularity, Futsal continues to rise. Huge things are on the horizon and Otto Orf is a name who can carry the sport to the next level! With the likes of great clubs such as Cleveland Fitness, one can only wonder what high peaks Futsal will reach.
I spoke with Angela M DiFiore who was on hand at the event, and as always, she was there with encouragement for the children and a smile that instantly lights up the room! Angela had this to say about the event, and why Futsal continues to grow in popularity,
“My husband Tony and I are both former soccer players, I’m also a coach and we have a love for the game. Especially with everything Otto has done with the indoor game.
This is great that he is now using basketball courts, especially to play the game of Futsal. It makes it fun, we just love doing it and Otto is amazing. He truly is the Godfather of indoor soccer and Futsal!
Coming up in September we have a really cool women’s event. We also have Summer leagues coming up with the kids on the weekends. We have basketball as well and just keeping our eyes out now with indoor soccer training as well, with our trainer Chris who is out there with Otto. Chris is learning as much as he can from Otto so he can pass it on to the youth here in the program with Cleveland Fitness Club.”
As Otto continues to be the largest ambassador for the sport of Futsal, he is also one who never shy’s away from showing it to kids of all ages, and adults! It doesn’t matter if your male or female either as there was plenty of both on the court tonight.
Otto had this share about tonight’s event, “We are helping promote Futsal tonight as well as the Cleveland Fitness Club and this is a fantastic gymnasium! Futsal continues to grow because it is a great sport and the best way to teach young kids. It is smaller court and kids can play and learn from it early on it because they will have the ball at their feet a lot.
There are no walls or barriers for them to use so that is why they have to develop their skills. It really is the best way to teach soccer skills for young kids and that is why every country around the world is adopting it.”
