MAC Launches Anne’s Pantry Donation Drive at 2026 MAC Basketball Tournament

CLEVELAND — The Mid-American Conference has announced a new community initiative, Anne’s Pantry, in partnership with the Hunger Network, to support local families during the 2026 MAC Basketball Tournament at Rocket Arena from March 11-14.

Anne’s Pantry was created in loving memory of Anne Steinbrecher, the late wife of MAC Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher. Her compassion for others and commitment to community continue to inspire those across the Conference and beyond. The initiative reflects Anne’s generous spirit and passion for helping those in need, transforming the excitement of MAC Basketball Tournament week into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference for families across Northeast Ohio.

Throughout the tournament, fans are encouraged to bring nonperishable food donations to help fight hunger across the Cleveland area.

Fans attending tournament games can drop off items at designated donation bins located near the Sherwin Williams and Cliffs entrances at Rocket Arena.

The MAC encourages contributions of shelf-stable, high-protein items. Priority items include canned tuna or chicken, natural peanut butter, canned beans and hearty soups. Additional recommended items include pasta, rice, cereal, and canned fruits and vegetables. Fans are asked not to bring glass jars, expired products or opened packages.

As an added incentive, fans who donate will receive a 10 percent discount to Rally House for MACtion and team merchandise.

If you are interested in making a monetary contribution, please visit the Hunger Network’s donation page and designate your gift in honor of Anne’s Pantry.
