Levy and Keenan lead West Geauga to a 21-7 victory over Chagrin Falls in ‘Battle of 306’

Separated by just a few miles via Route 306, the West Geauga Wolverines hosted the Chagrin Falls Tigers on Friday night.

In a hard hitting rivalry football game, Nasir Levy and Finn Keenan led the Wolverines to a 21-7 victory over the Tigers in the ‘Battle of 306’.

“It’s a rivalry game and our guys were geared up for it and we were able to pull off a victory against a good Chagrin Falls team,” said West Geauga Head Football Coach Matt Rosati. “We have won three in a row and next week is a real big game for us against Lutheran West. So our guys are geared up and you know we’re going to do everything we can to win that one as well.”

Against the Tigers in the ‘Battle of 306’, West Geauga got on the scoreboard first when Nasir Levy scored on a short touchdown run as West Geauga took a 7-0 lead with 20 seconds left in the first quarter.

 

After a scoreless second quarter the Wolverines took a 14-0 lead  on Nasir Levy’s second touchdown run of the game with 7:59 left in the third quarter.

 

West Geauga took a 21-0 lead over Chagrin Falls at the end of the 3rd quarter on quarterback Finn Keenan’s touchdown run.

 

Drew Zelch scored a late fourth quarter touchdown run for Chagrin Falls to make the final score 21-7.

 

The Wolverines will try to win their fourth game in a row when they face Lutheran West on Friday, October 6th.

Chagrin Falls will next face Perry on Friday.
