The last groupings on Thursday had a difficult Augusta National course to deal with. Friday, they will have what should be a calmer, more receptive Augusta. And with this being a vital day for making the cut, later today should be incredible theater.

Thursday the wind was anywhere from 8-10 mph with gusts even higher. With the course dry and holding very little, later groupings were struggling. They will look to take advantage of the 8-10 am tee times. Don’t be shocked if major contenders either go big…or go home!
With the chance to have better conditions, the goal for golfers like Scheffler, Spieth, Rahm, Rose and Thomas will be to move back up the leaderboard. The top 6 golfers for Thursday’s round all had tee times 10:31 or earlier. No rain is expected Friday and the wind is expected to be around 2 mph, much less than yesterday.
