Cleveland Browns drop the ball….again

The bye week is here. An opportunity for your Cleveland Browns to take a deep breath, try and regroup, get somewhat healthy, and try to turn their fortunes around in the second half of the season. But of course, it’s the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns today became the ONLY NFL team to LOSE during the bye week. Reports say that the San Francisco 49ers have orchestrated a trade with the New England Patriots for QB Jimmy Garoppalo and only giving up their 2018 second round pick.

The Browns had offered the Patriots a 2018 second round pick and some change prior to the season but they decided to wait it out, tonight they settled, and with no viable sources to back me up I could be quite certain they called the Browns and we all now know what the answer was, no thanks.

There is no explanation for such ineptitude for one of the NFL’s popular and proud franchises, a fan base who has stuck with this trifle of an organization does not deserve another slap on the face, by its own team.

What are they thinking? What really is the plan here? Enough is enough.

I have to say, as I have been thinking about this for quite some time now, the plan here is to rid this city of its football team….. again.

Year after year, franchise QB’s fall in our lap and poof… they’re gone, nope can’t have him, he doesn’t project as a top-20 QB, besides he may win us some games.

Players come here knowing they can collect a paycheck and walk around every Sunday holding their helmets for 60 minutes because it’s all part of the process. Sickening.

It all started two years ago. The Browns just defeated the Bengals on a Thursday night. They beat them down, 54 rushing attempts over 200 yards rushing, and walked out of Cincinnati with a 7-4 record and in first place in the AFC North. But, nope not happening, can’t have that, need to do things the Jimmy way. Enter Johnny Manziel.

Needless to say, the Browns have won four games since then, and ironically Manziel has two of those wins and he is somewhere in Texas probably making little rocks out of big ones.

This my friends is the Jimmy way, the only way, let’s turn this franchise around by hiring a lawyer and a baseball man to run a football franchise, it helps with the master plan.

Let’s refurbish a plain Jane stadium so at least we look great while getting our hats handed to us week after week. And oh by the way, let’s get a ten million dollar fancy scoreboard that actually looks like the state of Tennessee (look it up folks).

There is just too much to mention that’s going on at 76 Lou Groza Blvd that has nothing to do with football, as much as we try and figure out what is going on we will never know for sure but it’s too obvious to me that the plan, the process, does not include the greatest fan base in the NFL. It just doesn’t.

Welcome to the bye week.
