Cavs sign Okaro White for remainder of the season

CLEVELAND– The Cavaliers have filled one of their two available roster spots by signing forward Okaro White for the remainder of the season, per a release from the team.

White signed a 10-day contract with the Cavs back on March 18, but did not appear in any games. He played in six games with the Miami Heat this season, but a broken foot derailed his season. Following the injury he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks and released.

Last season, White was a G League All-Star with the Sioux Falls Skyforce. He averaged 18.4 points and 8.7 rebounds.

The Cavs now have one remaining roster spot they can fill before playoffs begin next weekend. They will round out the regular season with a home-and-home series against the New York Knicks on Monday and Wednesday.
