Report: Browns Have ‘Decent’ Chance at Keeping RT Mitchell Schwartz

The Browns are looking to do what they can to retain the services of free agency to be right tackle Mitchell Schwartz, and will try to get him signed before he hits the market today at 4pm.

Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reports that the Browns have a ‘decent’ chance of keeping Schwartz and it sounds like his payday will be in the range of about $7.5 million per season.

It was reported a few days ago that there were a couple of teams in the mix for Schwartz if he hit the market, that being the Bucs, Giants, Vikings and Falcons.

UPDATE: Gipson has reached an agreement with the Jaguars. Schwartz is signing with the Chiefs.
