Cleveland SC Opens Up Season In Style With 2-0 Shutout Of Rochester

CLEVELAND,Ohio – Soccer fans waited all summer for the sport they  love to return home, tonight, because of rain, they had to wait a little longer but it was worth every single second!

Much has been said of the dramatic story that saw a new ownership team bring soccer back to Cleveland. After the AFC Cleveland Royals folded, a team that won the 2016 NPSL Championship, soccer fans were forced to deal with the loss of their team and the Nightmare of possibly losing soccer forever.

A young man by the name of Sam Seibert stepped up with some players Coletun Long and Chris Cvecko, banning together to save Cleveland in soccer.  It worked!  They had less then 90 days to field a team, a coaching staff, find sponsors and a home venue.  Not only did they do all that, but they did it pretty darn well!

Tonight was game one of this magical journey.  Rather then giving you a blow by blow and play by play, we thought it would be fun to let the teams Twitter account tell you about their big opening night in their own words!  Congrats Cleveland SC!  You have earned it!
