Tymir Cardona and Sean Patrick Score Two Touchdowns Each to Lead Kenston to a 38-20 victory over Mayfield

The Kenston Bombers traveled to Mayfield to take on the Wildcats on Friday night.

The Bombers continued their great season as they jumped out to a 24-0 halftime lead over Mayfield. 

The Bombers would add two touchdowns in the second half to defeat Mayfield 38-20 as they moved to 6-1 on the season.

The Bombers scored first with 2:03 left in the first quarter when  Lucas Kaltenbach connected with Tymir Cardona on a 23-yard touchdown pass to take a 7-0 lead.

Kaltenbach and Cardona connected again for the Bombers second touchdown of the game with 7:57 left in the second quarter to lead 14-0.

Kenston took a 21-0 lead with 4:04 left in the second quarter on Sean Patrick’s touchdown run.

The Bombers completed the first half scoring on a field goal by Grady Kucharson to take a 24-0 lead into halftime.

Mayfield scored on a one-yard touchdown run by Joey Pinzone early in the third quarter to make the score 24-6.

The Bombers then extended their lead to 31-6 on a pick six by Charlie Thompson with 5:04 remaining in the third quarter.

Mayfield added a late third quarter touchdown on Joey Pinzone’s second touchdown of the night to make the score 31-14. 

Sean Patrick ran for a 2-yard touchdown, his second of the game, as the Bombers took a 38-14 lead with just under 11 minutes to go in the contest

Mayfield added a late fourth quarter touchdown on a 24-yard touchdown pass from Pinzone to Bo Lewis to make the final score 38-20.

Kenston will next host undefeated Riverside on Friday night.

Mayfield will next host Chardon on Friday night.
