OHSAA Basketball Preview Show and Spectrum State Tournament Coverage

Division I and II Boys Basketball All-Ohio

This weekend’s Ohio High School Athletic Association boys basketball state tournament will be covered by Spectrum and the OHSAA Radio Network, and the sixth and final weekly OHSAA Tournament Tipoff Show of the 2024 OHSAA basketball postseason is linked below. The show previews this weekend’s boys state tournament at the University of Dayton Arena and recaps last weekend’s girls state tournament.

Spectrum News 1 will televise the boys Division II and I state semifinals on Saturday and the state championship games on Sunday. Friday’s Division IV and III state semifinals will be on Spectrum Channel 314. All 12 games will be streamed live at ohsaa.tv. Spectrum’s televised games are available on Spectrum News 1, the Spectrum app and on ohsaa.tv.

Boys basketball state tournament play-by-play announcers preview the matchups. David Wilson has Division I, Marty Bannister previews Division II, Tim Bray breaks down Division III and Dwight Burgess has Division IV.

The show also includes recaps of last Saturday’s girls basketball state championship games, as seen on Spectrum News 1.

The radio show is posted at the link below and the video version of the show is posted on the OHSAA’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages (see links below). The Tournament Tipoff Show is released every week during the tournament for stations to use prior to their own broadcasts or elsewhere in their programming.

2024 Basketball State Tournaments on the OHSAA Radio Network

The OHSAA Radio Network will broadcast all 12 games from the girls and boys basketball state tournaments. Stations can have regional and state tournament rights fees waived by carrying OHSAA Radio Network programming. There are 24 local avails in each game and the broadcasts are delivered by Skyview Satellite.

OHSAA Radio Network Programming

–         Play-by-Play Broadcasts: The network broadcasts the football state championship games, the girls and boys basketball state tournaments, the softball state tournament and the baseball state tournament. Network broadcasts are available through Skyview Satellite or an online feed and include program logs, local avails and sub-audible tones. Stations that carry network broadcasts can see a reduction or elimination of their regional and state tournament rights fees.

–         Football and Basketball Weekly Shows: The network produces a series of weekly football and basketball preview shows that include interviews, statewide news, state tournament previews and regional reports. The shows are approximately 25 minutes long and include a 2-minute local break.
