Cleveland- The City of Cleveland, in partnership with the Cleveland Guardians, will recognize and honor star third baseman Jose Ramirez with a street named after him, connecting José Ramírez Field at Clark Field with Clark Ave. Ramírez will become the first active athlete to have a street named after him in Cleveland.
A ceremony was held with city of Cleveland officials (Blaine Griffin – President of City Council), Guardians and on-field personnel and Ramírez, officially presenting Ramírez with new street signs around Clark Field.
“Its a good reminder to continue doing my best and try to make [Cleveland] proud.”
From just a kid in Baní, to beloved by Cleveland. Thats what happens when you do things the José Ramírez Way.

Cleveland loves Jose and Jose loves Cleveland. He deserves all of the special things this city can do to honor him. Fans are lucky to be watching one of the greatest to play the game right here at Progressive Field. They already let him know how beloved he is all throughout the season with this:
