Former I.C. Change Basketball Showcase standout rises from overlooked prospect to Division I star, with NBA dreams in sight
CLEVELAND, OH — September 9, 2025 — Keyshawn Hall’s basketball journey has been anything but ordinary. Once an under-the-radar participant at the 2020 FREE Basketball Showcase (now the I.C. Change Basketball Showcase), Hall has battled through setbacks, transfers, and doubters to emerge as one of college basketball’s most dynamic players. Now, the Cleveland native has committed to Auburn University for the 2025–26 season, making one final stop as he looks at participating in March madness before pursuing his NBA dreams.

Hall’s path began in Cleveland at John Marshall and then Rhodes High School before the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted his career. Determined not to sit out, he transferred to Cleveland Heights, where he played under former NBA guard J.R. Bremer. After a season of growth and Division II offers, Hall pushed further joining a prep program led by ex-NBA forward Maurice Speights, where he continued to reshape his body and elevated his game.

Division I programs soon came calling. Hall committed to UNLV, where he contributed off the bench before transferring to George Mason. There, he broke out with averages of 16.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He then took another leap at UCF under former NBA player Johnny Dawkins, leading the league in scoring with 18.8 points and 7.1 rebounds.
Now, Hall joins Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl’s NCAA squad, filling a crucial role after the Tigers graduated all five starters. Known as the “Big Guard,” Hall is expected to bring scoring punch and veteran leadership to one of college basketball’s most powerful programs.
But Hall’s legacy extends beyond the court. Proud of his Cleveland roots, he brought for the 2nd year a charity game back to the West Side’s Cudell Recreation Center, inspiring local youth while giving back to the community that shaped him.
“Keyshawn Hall represents what perseverance and passion look like,” said Ian Cunningham, founder of the I.C. Change Basketball Showcase. “From overlooked high schooler to one of the nation’s top scorers, he’s proof that with hard work, belief, and heart, you can achieve anything.”

With Auburn and the city of Cleveland behind him, Hall now sets his sights firmly on the NBA.
Hall represents the toughness and resilience of our community of northeast Ohio, especially the Land (Cleveland) that raised him.
Be on the lookout for big things from the Big Guard.
