PREVIEW: Cavs hope to avoid season sweep against Pacers on Friday

Smith still searching for shooting stroke

While January has been rough for Cleveland, it has been even worse for Smith. The 14-year veteran is shooting 32.3 percent from the field and 24.3 percent from beyond the perimeter in the last 10 games alone. His minutes are still steady at 27.4, but the production is far from his 12.7 career points per game on 41.9 percent shooting.

Kyle Korver is 36 years old, Cedi Osman is 22 years old and Iman Shumpert just came back from a knee injury, all of whom are better suited for a lighter workload off the bench. If Smith is unable to find his form, then general manager Koby Altman might make a second trip to the trading block.
