Mogadore Wildcats go Undefeated Beating the Rootstown Rovers 34-14

First Half

The first drive of the game the Rovers converted on two fourth downs including a fake punt run, the drive ended on a passing touchdown from Ryan Piscitani to Branden Bobbs to put the Rovers up 7-0 over the Wildcats. The Wildcats wasted no time responding to the Rovers score as they went on a two play, 59-yard drive with a 47-yard touchdown run by Ohio Bobcat commit Mason Williams making the score 13-7. Two minutes left into the second quarter, junior WR Corey Lehner caught a slant over the middle and took it for a 59-yard Wildcat touchdown extending the Wildcat lead to 21-7.

Second half

The Wildcats would receive the ball at halftime and then go on to extend the lead to 28-7 on a four-yard Touchdown run by Mason Williams. Senior Collin Lehner ran for an eight yard touchdown run to bring the score to 34-7 with 2:56 left in the third quarter. Rootstown finally answers back with a 59-yard touchdown run from Rovers junior RB Dawson Morgan. The Mogadore Wildcats came away with a 34-14 victory over the Rootstown Rovers to go undefeated (9-0) and get their 44th league championship.

1st Quarter

2nd Quarter

3rd Quarter
