The WWE Universe Hates Roman Reigns – Here’s Five Reasons Why

2. Fans Were Not Over Daniel Bryan When His Push Started

Go back to the Royal Rumble in 2015, and in a hot and hostile crowd in Philly Roman Reigns won with a crowd booing him the entire way, while one of their favorites, Daniel Bryan, was eliminated without much fanfare.

Just a year before, Bryan won the WWE World Heavyweight Title at WrestleMania XXX, and fans felt cheated when he was forced to vacate the title due to injury. Many felt that he should have been in the mix or even won the Rumble in Philly with a chance to fight Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 31.

Instead, the company had made the decision to go with Roman, and fans just were not ready to give up on the dream of their guy, Bryan, being in the main event mix.

It was a timing thing, but also something that killed Reigns’ chance of being a top fan favorite with the WWE Universe.
