WWE Network Review: Up Up Down Down

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Throughout my mission to watch every “Original” Show on the WWE network, and give you the readers the straight scoop on which ones to view and which ones to pass, I already have stumbled upon such gems as the;
-Stone Cold Podcast
-WWE The List
-Camp WWE
-Jerry Springer Too Hott for TV
-Table for 3
-Legends House
-Legends with JBL

Now, we move on to something so simple, it has to be good, “Up Up Down Down”.

It is a very simple and basic presence, a bunch of wrestlers sitting around playing video games. What makes it cool is that they don’t just talk about the video games the viewer can see on the screen, but also their careers and growing up as kids playing games.

The initial episode is very funny with Seth Rollins describing a story from his youth about losing to a buddy at Madden then dropping an elbow on him. Another classic recant is when Rollins described how he broke multiple televisions growing up by getting so angry at the game he would throw his controller at the screen and break it. What little kid hasn’t done that over the years? Again, very relatable and very enjoyable to listen to him tell it.

Perhaps the coolest episode of the show is when AJ Styles & Bailey teamed up to take on Tyler Breeze and show host Xavier Woods on the giant “Jerry Tron” over WrestleMania weekend in Dallas.

The best part of this show is host Xavier Woods ( real name Austin Creed). His personality shines and it brings out the best in the people around him.

The network continues to impress me many times over.

One last thing that must be noted is the game choices, Mortal Kombat, Ms. Pac Man, Frogger, Madden Football and the Ninja Turtles. How can you go wrong with that 5 pack?

Until next time.
