The WWE Network will hold a Smackdown only Pay Per View this weekend entitled Backlash 2017. It has been around since 1999 and has been one of the more popular WWE spinoff pay per views since the In Your House series began in May of 2005.
This weekend’s event will take place in Chicago, Illinois at the All State Arena in front of what will be a raucous CM Punk favoriting crowd. Chicago crowds are known to be rowdy and some of the best shows of the year.
However, even Chicago may have their hands full with this lackluster card, except for two matches we will get to shortly, there isn’t much to offer. Those two matches being Shinsuke Nakamura vs Dolph Ziggler and Kevin Owens {C} vs AJ Styles for United States Title.
Other than those two, not a lot to write home about. Perhaps we will get a surprise and the match between Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn will steal the show. Either way, for $9.99 a month, can anyone of us really complain?
