And a final, bonus tidbit (it is the holidays after all): coming into today’s Christmas showdown, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James have each recorded 301 points and 76 assists in Christmas Day games, making them the active leaders in both categories and tied for third on the NBA’s all-time list.
Wade, who is playing in his 13th Christmas Day game and has won more games on this day (10) than any player in history, joked that that stat would be history after this year.
“It will definitely change this year, but it’s been fun,” Wade said.
